This would include an examination of national and local planning policies as well as liaison with other development and property professionals including local authorities where appropriate.

Planning Applications & Listed Building Consents

The practice has extensive experience in the preparation, negotiation and submission of planning applications and listed building consents on all types of development . These include householder development, such as extensions, as well as residential, commercial, agricultural and leisure proposals including changes of use. Depending on the type and complexity of the application, this can be undertaken in-house or in conjunction with other professionals such as architects.

Appeals

The practice is particularly adept at dealing with appeals by written representations, local hearings and public inquiries. If it is a complicated case, we work with other experts and the legal profession to put the best possible case forward.

Development Plans

The practice can also prepare and submit representations to: Local Development Frameworks and promotion of sites through the plan process. As part of this, we also present evidence at Examinations in Public.

Enforcement

The practice undertakes the provision of advice and guidance to individuals and companies who are subject to enforcement investigations or notices as well as undertaking appeals to enforcement notices.

Other Planning Issues

Assistance and advice given to individuals and companies regarding lodging objections or to offer support on various planning proposals and issues. We can also undertake liaison with barristers and solicitors regarding legal aspects of particular cases.
